Louisa and Andrew could not wait to welcome this new little one, Lacy Jane. She took her good time getting here and was nine days late! But she must have needed that little extra time to make her the perfect little doll that she is. Since her arrival she has been very easy on her first time parents. She will even sleep through the night if her Mommy didn’t wake her.
We got very lucky on the day of Lacy’s session. It was an unusually beautiful October day in the mid 70’s with warm sunshine. So we were able to head outside during this lifestyle family session. There is so much loving and snuggling going on in this home. Welcome home baby Lacy!
This is the third year I’ve taken the Rennecker’s Christmas family photo. These client’s have crossed over from clients into precious friends. This is the best part about being a family photographer. I love how close we become and how I get to see families grow up in front of my camera.
Fall is in full force here in Ohio. And there are so many fun things to discover when you are a toddler.

Last Sunday my church, First Friends of Canton Ohio hosted a food drive. They had vans ready at Aldi to collect the groceries and bring back to the pantry. I was asked to photograph the event. I was so impressed by the generosity displayed by all of the shoppers. Not only the generosity of the members from our church, but also the members of the community. They would buy extra groceries during their own shopping or just hand us money to donate. The event was a success. The pantry is completely stocked and ready for many families in need this winter.
This smiley little guy is our son Liam. Every year on my children’s half birthdays I like to have a stylized session to see how much they’ve grown. On their real birthdays I just have a regular portrait session and then mix it up a little half way through the year. And these styled sessions tend to be my favorites.
This year it was easy to decide what to do since we just made this little tepee for Liam’s new bedroom. The antlers were a gift from his great grandpa and the lantern was a freebie from the Hartville Flea Market.
As a side note, although this session looks easy and relaxed it was quite the opposite. Liam has reached an age now that he doesn’t like when Mommy has a camera in his face. It is a challenge to get eye contact. And I had to work incredibly fast because the whole session only lasted 10 minutes before he was bored and ran off. Photographing toddlers is quite the challenge, but photographing your own is even harder. So I was so thankful that I was able to get these sweet images of him. Happy 3 1/2 birthday Liam. 😉
Adventures of Quiet Time
“I just can’t go to sleep Mommy, I just can’t.”
Now that summer is coming to an end Liam can finally ride his bike over a mile to the park with us.
I love that Liam put his bike inside the bike rack even though he has training wheels.
I was so proud how brave he was!
As of today we are only have 89 days left in the year. But with all the summer craziness I still have a total of 154 photos before the year ends! And since quitting isn’t an option, I will be doubling down and taking more than one photo per day to catch up. So to keep track I will be measuring by days now. I am excited with the new season change how many exciting things there are are to discover for little ones. And as of this week (except one more wedding) my life has finally slowed down a bit. So we will be hitting the pumpkin patches, leaf piles and carving pumpkins. And I am very excited to watch our kiddos enjoy ever minute of it!
These two have bonded together over this summer. Mainly over their mutual love of Legos. But it is so sweet to see these two together. Isaac is such a good uncle to Liam, and Liam loves him so much.
I was so excited that I had my camera in my hand to catch this moment. Since we live on Main Street we get to see a lot of emergency vehicles. Liam has always loved watching them. Whenever we hear one in the distance he drops everything and runs to go see it.
Picking tomatoes for fresh salsa. Every year our neighbors tell us to not bother planting tomatoes and help ourselves. 😉
This little girl is just like her brother in that she has to climb on everything. This is currently her favorite spot. She will climb the computer tower to get on the desk. Then, she will dig in my drawers and empty the pen containers while I work on the computer.
Our fall scavenger hunt was a success! Liam was very excited about it. And Daddy was home to help us which made it extra special.
This girl and her climbing. It is a constant battle to keep her off when I’m loading or unloading the dishwasher. Her favorite activity is playing in the utensil basket.
Liam loves baking! He is such a good helper too. He doesn’t make a mess and takes instructions well. Here he filled up all of these muffins by himself.
This is Charlotte’s preferred method of sliding. If we set her down, she will flip on her belly and giggle the whole way down.
