Jason and Marie Christman chose Octorber 3rd as their wedding date. They were hoping for fall leaves and warm temperatures. But instead we had rain and freezing weather. But my second shooter Mari and I tried to make the most of it by pushing our creativity. During the wedding portrait sessions we brought it inside the Wolf Creek Winery. Jason and Marie were so natural enjoying the wine and each other. And I’m so glad we brought some umbrellas so we could get a few shots outside. The overlook out on the deck was gorgeous. That session has become one of my favorites. On the way to the reception we stopped at the Holy Cross Cemetery to Marie could visit with her mother. It was so sweet that she chose to do this on her wedding day.
It was such a pleasure working with you Jason and Marie. Thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day and I hope that you have a beautiful life together!

It was so nice getting to work with this family. Not only because they were all so kind, but because they live just down the street from me! Since I live in Louisville I usually am traveling 30-60 minutes to take photographs. So this was a treat!
We were a little unsure of how the little ones would hold up in the cold. Even though we’ve had an usually mild winter so far, it just so happened to be 27 degrees, windy and snowing on Saturday. We had to take multiple breaks to warm up the little guys but it was well worth it. Part of the family lives out of state, so it was a special occasion for everyone to be together to get photographed.
A fantastic way to wash the car with small children is to put them inside the car to contain and entertain them.
Daddy had to work all through Thanksgiving weekend. So Aunt Marissa came to stay with us.

The sky was such an unusual color one morning. We had to go outside and see.
This little ham has to climb on the counter, or stand on a stool and “help” me put on make up every time.
