Isn’t this the cutest couple ever? Although I may be a bit biased. This is my beautiful sixteen year old sister Michaiah and her boyfriend Brady. They attend Carrollton Baptist School where their Spring Formal was being held. I had another prom session nearby earlier that day. So afterwards I stopped by my parents home and had a mini session for these two. We were lucky because it stopped raining for about 15 minutes for us. We were also lucky because my parent’s apple tree was in full bloom and was absolutely gorgeous!
Now allow me to brag a little on my lil sis. Michaiah is number five in the birth order of our family having four older sisters and a younger brother. When she was born I was 12 years old. She and I were best buds from day one. We have continued to stay close even though I got married when she was in third grade. She is frequently at my house for the weekends and especially during the summer. Even though we are going though totally different stages in life we somehow still connect and love hanging out with each other. I especially love how much she loves my kiddos. She is so good to them.
I was a little unsure when I heard about Brady at first. (Being the protective older sister and all 😉 ). But after I met him and found how how polite and sweet he is to her, I am so glad they have each other to share this special time in life together. He is a senior this year and will be heading off to Geneva Bible Collage in the fall.
Note at the end of this post there is an outtake. While taking these photos my brother and his best friend decided to photobomb Michaiah and Brady in full air soft gun gear. Brady thought it was hilarious. Michaiah, not so much. But hey, that’s what younger brothers for right?
This young man is Cody. He is another of my 2017 Senior Ambassadors. Cody is from Perry High School. We had perfect weather at Sippo Lake State Park for his session. And Cody did a great job! He is very easy going and funny. He is also a very hardworking young man. He is on the football team and in the ROTC program. He has a great job as a supervisor and is planning to have a career in the Army after college.
I always like to ask the parents of the high school seniors who are at the session if they would like a picture with their son or daughter. Cody’s mother Kelly even planned ahead with matching jerseys. I love it!
After sending his gallery to his mother this is what she had to say:
These pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I opened them and it brought tears to me eyes at how great they turned out and how big my baby has gotten! You did a AWESOME job and I cannot wait to share these with everyone!!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This beautiful young lady is Alexis from Louisville High School. She is a 2017 graduate and one of my senior ambassadors. I am so excited to have her on my team. She is very motivated, sweet and classy. I loved her personal style! Being in front of the camera for years as a Louisville Constitution Queen, Alexis was so easy to photograph! She has been a part of many clubs and programs including debate club. I’m sure Alexis has a very bright future ahead of her!
Alexis make was done by Stephanie Walkiewicz http://www.stephaniewalkiewicz.com/. This was my second time working with Stephanie. She did such a beautiful job giving Alexis the classic look for her portraits. Thank you so much Stephanie!
This nice young man is David. He is a high school graduate and has recently enlisted in the United States Navy. He the youngest five children. I photographed two of his siblings’ senior photos as well. It is always a pleasure working with this family.
This young man is Jacob Stryffeler. His was by far the nicest and most amiable male senior I have photographed. It is to be expected that guys don’t like having their pictures taken. But I had a wonderful session with Jake. Jake is a senior at Minerva High School. I wish him all the best with the exciting future he has before him.
The weather was playing tricks on us the day we took Cassie’s senior prom pictures. So we decided to use the beautiful interior of her parents home for our session. The white and black tile walls of their pool room perfectly complemented Cassie’s red dress. She is pictured here with her boyfriend Dustin.
I also also had the privilege of taking Cassie’s senior pictures last summer. I have known Cassie and her family since she was four years old. It is amazing to see what a beautiful young woman she has become.
