This precious family are the Carmanys. They are dear friends of mine. I met Laura in a Mom’s group, which we still attend together, at our church four years ago. We instantly connected because my Liam and her Josiah were close to the same ages. Then, we both got pregnant again at the same time with Charlotte and Nate. Josiah just started Kindergarten as did Liam. It is so cute watching the kiddos grow up together. I count myself lucky to have such a sweet friend who is going through life at the same stage as I am.
Matt and Laura are also the proud owners of The Wholesome Hive. Matt is in charge of the beekeeping part of the business. And Laura has developed a line of high-quality, body and home care products. She has created these products from their honey, beeswax and other all natural ingredients. I love their products! Especially the lip balm. Check it out via the link above.
For the Carmanys session I wanted to use their love of honey making as a part of telling their family’s personal story. All the “props” used in the session are personal items from the family. I wanted to let their family’s personality shine. And by capturing the genuine love and affection they have for each other I think I have.
This beautiful little family are Tiffanie and Noah. Tiffanie wanted spring flowers to be incorporated in the background, so we picked F. A Seiberling Nature Realm in Akron. I absolutely love shooting there. Every inch of it is gorgeous!
Noah is such a little ham. I think he giggled through his entire session. I love the value Tiffanie places on family photos. She has them taken in the fall and in the spring. Children grow up so quickly, it’s so important to remember them in each little stage. It was such pleasure working with these two again.
This is the Elmerick, Kandel, Kracker families. We were lucky to find a little bit of color left in November. This session took place in one of the daughters’ backyard. I love when I get to shoot at my client’s homes. It is so much more personal and easier on everyone. And we were also blessed with nice weather. Although 9 am is very early to get a family ready to go, the light is so beautiful that time of day. It was a pleasure working with this family with all of those sweet little girls.
I photographed Jason and Marie’s wedding a few weeks ago. We didn’t get a chance to squeeze in their engagement session before the wedding. So I made an exception and allowed them to replace it with a family session with little Owen after the wedding. It was so much fun because we’ve already gotten to know each other during the wedding. And even though we had to dodge raindrops the trees were so vibrant it made for a beautiful backdrop.
