Judah Ray – Newborn Lifestyles Photographer, Hartville, OH

This precious family are the Emericks. Jared, Ashley and the newest little addition Judah Ray Emerick.

This little one has a very special story. According to his father, he was the most prayed for little one in all of Stark County. Jared and Ashley were hoping and praying for an addition to their family and God answered.

Judah was so sweet and tiny! Judah Ray was born in October, and he was 7 lbs 9 oz 18 1/2 inches long. Ashley created the most beautiful little nest of a nursery to welcome him in into. The little details were so sweet. You can tell how much he was anticipated and loved.

This family has one of the biggest hearts for the Lord. Judah is very blessed to have Jared and Ashley as his parents. He has a wonderful life ahead of him.

I love photographing newborn lifestyle sessions. I decided a few years ago against posing newborns in my photography. As a photographer and as a parent myself, I love the connection that is created through a lifestyle family session. You can the see the love and emotion between the parents and the new little one. Also, seeing how small the new baby is in his parents arms is so incredible. They won’t stay that way for long and those are the memories you want to capture to remember forever.

The Little Librarian – Charlotte’s Childhood Session – Sippo Lake Library- Massillon, OH

One of the luckiest things that can happen to you in life is, I think, to have a happy childhood.

-Agatha Christie

This sweet little three and a half year old is my daughter Charlotte. Every half year between my children’s birthdays I try and have a styled session with them. I have had this “Little Librarian” session planned for weeks. But due to sickness we had to wait a couple of months. But the perk to waiting is that when we shot this session last Tuesday it was 71 degrees! So we even got a few of Charlotte running and playing outside, which I love. Because basically that is what childhood is all about, being carefree and playful.

Styled Childhood Sessions are one of my favorite things to shoot. It is fun to add the element of creativity to a basic Childhood Session. This also provides a fun activity for the child and holds their attention longer. If you think you might be interested in a session feel free to contact me. I would love to match your session to fit the special personality of your child.

Charlotte’s Eighteen Month Session – Louisville OH, Family Photographer

This little lady is eighteen months old! This time of year it’s hard to find a good location to take pictures outdoors. But the dead brush, combined with the setting golden sunlight makes a perfect backdrop. Poor Charlotte is currently teething and wasn’t really in to her little session. She only game me about five good minutes before we had to leave.

A funny thing happened right before we left. This session took place at an abandoned airport strip just down the hill from my home. I’ve photographed my family there several times. But for some odd reason someone was driving by and saw me with Charlotte near the woods. They wrote down our license plate and called the police to report possible abandonment. But they never stuck around to see me put my daughter back into our van and drive home?!? So exactly one hour later a police officer showed up at our house shines his flashlight in our windows looking for Charlotte. It startled my husband and he asked the police officer if he could help him. He asked to see the kids and then wanted to talk to me. He said that they had been looking for a small child in the woods for 45 minutes! I felt so bad that I caused them all that hassle. But he didn’t seem too concerned. And I verified that I had permission to shoot at the airport and he said, “I have no problem with it. I bet it makes for great pictures doesn’t it?” It was a very exciting night for us.
